CHANGES TO MY STUDY PROGRAMME
Well, I'm only in second year so i will only talk about my knowledge about the career.
The study programme are new so they are many changes with respect to the old one. However i will change some things. Respect to the first semester, there are two subjects that are necessary and give tools to develop in the social sciences area, but i think the teachers aren't the appropriated; Marcelo Arnold in the subject "Filosofía de las Ciencias sociales" because although he is a good and eminence anthropologist, he hasn't the pedagogy so he teach not well at all. The second subject is "Transversal: Aprender a leer y escribir en ciencias sociales", which the idea of the subject is good but the implementation isn't. In addition, the teacher have low tolerance with people a little lost with the theme of the class.
I would make another change in the subjects: In the third semester I would reduce the study hours per subject at week, to add another ethnography subject. I think is a essential subject because one can learn a lot in the streets interacting with people and because ethnography is the methodology of study of anthropology so it's necessary to get used. But, the money designated and what is given to the students it's a little bit, and we only can go to sites in the Metropolitan Region so we miss a lot of interesting places. These two things I would change too.
